A research desk, the data it works from, and the line it does not cross.
What the team does
The editorial team researches and writes the guides and maintains the structured data behind them: the vehicle-model pages, the conviction-code pages, the insurance-group pages and the driver-profile guides. The work is largely data handling — collecting published premium data, keeping it current, and explaining what it shows in plain English — and the checking that goes with it.
What the team is not
Nobody on the team is a regulated adviser, and no page on the site is advice. We can explain why a 19-year-old in a Group 30 car pays what they pay; we cannot tell you which policy to take out. That is a line we keep deliberately, and our editorial policy sets out why.
How a page is published
A page is drafted from the primary sources and the data set, checked by a second member of the team who did not write it, and published with its date set. When the underlying data is republished, the pages that depend on it are refreshed and re-dated. Reader reports are checked against the source and the page is corrected if the reader was right.
